CLP Power Hong Kong Limited bagged the Utilities accolade for its eMobility Grid Management Platform (eGMP).

CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) was recognised at the Hong Kong Business (HKB) Greater Bay Area Enterprise Awards 2025 for its eMobility Grid Management Platform (eGMP), highlighting its innovative and efficient solutions to support the expanding eMobility charging network.

CLP Power unveils its innovative eMobility Grid Management Platform (eGMP) at the ReThink HK 2024 Sustainable Business Forum and Solutions Expo, showcasing the latest advancements in technology to drive green mobility forward.

CLP Power’s eGMP, a self-developed intelligence platform, is designed to facilitate analysis across Hong Kong's electric vehicle (EV) charging network. It provides insights into EV charging behaviours, enabling CLP Power to enhance network planning and support the continuous growth of the EV market.

As EVs become increasingly central to transportation in many regions, Mainland China boasts one of the fastest-growing EV markets globally, with Hong Kong also anticipating a rapid rise in EV adoption over the next decade. This surge in demand underscores the importance and opportunities for Greater Bay Area (GBA) integration. One of eGMP's primary objectives is to consolidate EV charging data in Hong Kong, enabling the eMobility ecosystem to integrate with other GBA cities in the future.

CLP Power’s eMobility Grid Management Platform (eGMP), an in-house developed eMobility charging network data intelligence platform, designed to facilitate analysis across Hong Kong's EV charging network.

The eGMP leverages near real-time data to monitor and optimise power supply across the EV charging network. By analysing charging patterns and station utilisation in different areas of Hong Kong, the eGMP enables more effective resource allocation and network planning. Key benefits of eGMP include enhanced visibility of EV charging data, insightful analysis of utilisation and consumption patterns, and scalable solutions for power network planning.

Over 2,000 charge points have already integrated into eGMP and this figure is expected to grow. The platform offers a live map of charging sites across the city, providing near real-time updates on operational data, including charging status, power consumption, and load profiles.
