Government approves 15 building plans in July

Seven are for apartments, five for commercial projects, and three for industrial developments.

The Buildings Department has approved 15 building plans in July, including three on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon, and eight in the New Territories.

Seven of the approved plans were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, five were for commercial projects, and three were for factory and industrial developments.

The department has already given consent for construction to begin on six building projects.

Upon completion, the projects will provide 195 square metres of domestic gross floor area comprising one unit, as well as 2,402 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

Meanwhile, superstructure works had begun on two building projects.

The department also issued 16 occupation permits in July, covering three projects on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon, and six in the New Territories.

The buildings certified for occupation provide 11,187 square metres of domestic gross floor area across 186 units, along with 89,458 square metres of space for non-domestic use.
