Swire Pacific appoints Shiu Ian Sai Cheung as Executive Director

The 55-year-old Executive Director of Cathay Pacific will take over Swire Pacific commencing on 1 August 2010.

The Board of Directors of Swire Pacific Limited on Thursday announced the appointment of Mr Shiu Ian Sai Cheung as an Executive Director, effective 1 August 2010, a Swire announcement said.

Mr Shiu Ian Sai Cheung, 55, joined Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (Cathay Pacific), an associated company of Swire Pacific, in 1978, and has worked with Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

He was Executive Director of Cathay Pacific from 1st October 2008 to 30th June 2010. and was re-designated as a Non-Executive Director of Cathay Pacific with effect from 1st July 2010. He is also a Director of John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited (JSSHK) and Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited.

The new Executive Director’s annual salary with various allowances amounts to HK$3,532,870,plus discretionary bonuses and other benefits in kind and to participate in provident funds.
