Budget says new facilities will lift capacity.

Chan said the Terminal 2 facilities will substantially increase the airport’s overall capacity.
He said Hong Kong International Airport remained the world’s busiest cargo airport, with cargo throughput exceeding five million tonnes last year, and passenger throughput reaching 61 million, up nearly 15% YoY.
Chan said the government will seek new air services agreements and expand traffic rights with regions including the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and South America to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as an international aviation hub.
He also said Airport Authority Hong Kong is developing Airport City SKyTopia, citing projects including AsiaWorld-Expo Phase 2, art storage facilities, and the Yacht Bay.
