HKIA passenger traffic up 5.2% to 6.21 million in June

This represents the fifth consecutive month of growth.

Passenger volume at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) maintained its positive momentum for the fifth straight month this year after rising 5.2% YoY from 5.91 million to 6.21 million passengers in June, according to a company release. 

The two other air traffic categories increased with the amount of cargo handled inching up 0.9% to 424,000 tonnes led by increases in unloaded cargo which hit 151,000 tonnes.

Flight movements, which include civil international passenger, cargo and non-revenue flights, also edged up 2.2% to 35,340 in June.
