Gov't greenlights nearly 3,000 aviation industry job requests

Last year, the government approved 2,841 worker applications.

The government approved 2,982 applications to the Labour Importation Scheme for the Transport Sector - Aviation Industry.

The scheme received 3,055 requests from 27 eligible companies across 10 job types.

In August 2023, the government approved 2,841 workers under the first round of the scheme. Over 1,300 imported workers have arrived to work in Hong Kong.

The government will announce the third round of applications under the scheme in due course.

In addition, starting in May, the Airport Authority will launch a $5 million monthly Transport Subsidy Scheme for local frontline airport staff.
