Is expected to boost tourism between Hong Kong and Vietnam.

The first direct flight by Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Ltd departing from Hong Kong landed last week at Da Nang International Airport, marking the official opening of a new air route between the two locations.

A Dragonair Airbus with 168 passengers landed safely the Da Nang International Airport. Dragonair will have three weekly flights to Da Nang every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday with an Airbus A320.

The new route will help increase the number of tourists between Hong Kong and Vietnam, said Patrick Yeung general managing director.

He also said Da Nang is becoming an important destination in terms of economy and tourism for the central Vietnam.
