Cathay Pacific logs 37% YoY increase in passengers carried in January

HK Express carried a record high of over 667,000 passengers in January.

Cathay Pacific carried 2.3 million more passengers in January 2025, a 37% year-on-year increase compared with January 2024.

Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) increased by 30.9% to 11.2 billion whilst the load factor increased by 3.6 percentage points YoY.

Moreover, HK Express carried a record high of over 667,000 passengers in January, an increase of 46.1% YoY with ASKs increasing by 39.7%.

Meanwhile, Cathay Cargo carried 13.7% more cargo during the month. Available Freight Tonne Kilometres increased by 14.7% whilst load factor decreased by 2.5 percentage points.
