Cathay Group passenger count climb 11% to over 3.3 million passengers in January
Cargo rose 5% to 137,143 tonnes.
The Cathay Group carried more than 3.3 million passengers in January, an 11% increase year on year (YoY), according to its latest traffic figures.
Cathay Pacific carried more than 2.6 million passengers, up 11.5% YoY. Available seat kilometres rose 14.3% whilst passenger load factor declined 1.5 percentage points to 84.9%.
HK Express carried 717,561 passengers, up 7.6% YoY. Available seat kilometres grew 12.8% whilst passenger load factor fell 3.5 percentage points to 81.1%.
Cathay Cargo carried 137,143 tonnes in January, up 5.0% YoY. Revenue freight tonne kilometres increased 0.7% whilst available freight tonne kilometres rose 3.0% and cargo load factor declined 1.3 percentage points to 54.9%.
Cathay Pacific carried 100,747 passengers on 14 February 2026, marking a new single-day record. HK Express carried more than 30,000 passengers on 20 February 2026 for the first time.
