Boarding rules tightened for 7 places

The new restrictions will be placed under the Prevention & Control of Disease Regulation.

The Hong Kong Government, on 8 January, announced Antigua & Barbuda, Bolivia, Cote d'Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Laos, and Mongolia will all be listed as a Group A specified place from 11 January, given the detection of Omicron cases.

Non-Hong Kong residents who have stayed in these places within 21 days will not be allowed to enter the city, the government said.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong residents who have stayed in these places can only board a flight for Hong Kong if they have been fully vaccinated and hold a recognised COVID-19 vaccination record.
