Hongkong Land streamlines building ops with new AI platform
The company said the platform is designed to improve operational efficiency and reduce service disruptions.
Hongkong Land has launched Hong Kong’s first AI-powered intelligent facility management platform.
The system, known as the Integrated Facility Management Control Tower (IFMCT), consolidates more than 20 previously separate building systems into a single command centre.
The company stated that the platform is designed to enhance operational efficiency and minimise service disruptions across its commercial properties. Following a pilot at Alexandra House—which received an Industry Excellence Award—IFMCT has already been rolled out to Chater House and Exchange Square, with full coverage of Hongkong Land’s Central portfolio expected by 2026.
According to Hongkong Land, the platform applies artificial intelligence to building operations, including HVAC systems, energy optimisation, cleaning, vendor management, procurement, and tenant wellness.
AI-powered analytics allow the system to anticipate maintenance needs. For example, air handling units are serviced only when necessary, which has led to a reported 16% reduction in maintenance efforts over one year.
The platform has also automated approximately 66% of work orders and reduced the time needed to access asset documentation by 80%, the company said.
