Lab-grown meat provider Vow launches in Hong Kong

The startup is launching its lab-grown version of foie gras.

Australian sustainable food startup Vow has announced that it will launch in Hong Kong, providing the market with the first taste of cultured meat products often referred to as lab-grown meat.

The announcement comes at the same time as it launched its take on foie gras, a speciality product made from duck or goose liver called Forged Gras.

Foie gras is a frequently banned dish, mostly because it involves overfeeding and force-feeding ducks and geese.

According to Vow, the Forge Gras is sourced from Japanese quail and ‘crafted without any animal intervention’.

The new Forged Gras and Forged Parfait will be available in Hong Kong.
