Sunlight REIT, Dah Sing Bank launch Dah Sing Financial Centre

The new office will serve as the Dah Sing Bank’s flagship branch.

Sunlight Tower is now Dah Sing Financial Centre as the Henderson Sunlight Asset Management Limited and Dah Sing Bank, Limited marked the transformation of the property into a financial service-driven hub.

The Dah Sing Financial Centre, located at 248 Queen’s Road East, is seen as a significant milestone for Sunlight REIT and the bank. It will be utilised as the bank’s new corporate headquarters, which feature modern digital technology to enhance working mobility and operational agility. The bank also has leased over 89,000 square feet of office and retail space.

“The move marks the next phase of the Group's strategy that embraces technology to sharpen its customer focus and improve its customer experience, as well as maximize its competitiveness and operational efficiency," Dah Sing Bank’s Chief Executive and Managing Director Harold Wong said.

The new office will also promote green and wellness workplace principles through paperless workflows and energy efficient lighting systems. It will feature eco-friendly technology in line with the bank’s approach to strike a balance between digital empowerment and signature personalized service.

Sunlight REIT implemented green and proptech features at the new financial centre through the installation of green wall panels among other features that are energy efficient. The company also added new eateries and revamped the lobby.

It expects the environmental footprint of the Grade A building will extend to other stakeholders of Sunlight REIT.

“The change in building name not only symbolizes a long term and mutual commitment, it also portrays our vision to build a sustainable tenant profile for Sunlight REIT, while developing critical aspects of our business through collaboration with strategic partners such as Dah Sing Financial Group,” said Sunlight REIT CEO Wu Shiu Kee Keith.
