Binatone Electronics International Limited bags Designed in Hong Kong Awards for Electronics

The Halo+ baby monitoring system generates sleep insights to better understand babies' sleeping patterns.

Binatone Electronics International Limite's Motorola Halo+ is a multi-function nursery device that keeps an eye on babies and children, whilst providing hours of entertainment so parents and guardians can take a break. Halo+ is smartly designed to capture changes in the environment such as motion, sound, and temperature and also allows users to stream videos in crystal clear HD quality via the included parent unit or through Wi-Fi on the mobile phone. When it senses change, the device sends alerts to mobile phones after downloading the connected app. It also includes sleep insights to give users a better understanding, identify, and understand the ideal sleep pattern and room condition for the young ones. For this, Binatone won Hong Kong Business Designed in Hong Kong Awards for Electronics.

Halo+ is a cut above other baby monitoring systems, said Binatone marketing manager Sherry Chan as the device serves several functions, doubling as an entertainment hub for babies, freeing parents and guardians to focus on other activites around the house. With its ergonomic arm, the baby monitor can be mounted on the crib so parents can enjoy a full and unobstructed view of their baby. It can also be mounted on the wall so parents can have a bird’s eye view over the baby.

"Halo+ uniquely combines four nursery products in one. It's a Wi-Fi video monitor, allowing parents to view their children on the included parent unit with 4.3" screen, or from anywhere in the world on compatible smartphones, tablets, and computers," she said. "It's a sleep monitor, tracking baby's activity at night and providing parents with a sleep summary in the morning. It's a projector, helping sooth baby to sleep with rotating images and a 7-color night. And it's a sound machine, calming baby with several preloaded soothing sounds, as well as additional lullabies and sounds available via the Hubble app."

Due to overwhelming response from customers, Binatone is looking to sell Halo+ in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and the rest of Asia.
