Haymarket Media Limited wins at Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards 2026
The media company receives recognition for its diversity, inclusion, and people-focused workplace initiatives.
Haymarket Media Limited won Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year - Media & Entertainment and Employee Engagement of the Year - Media & Entertainment in the Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards 2026. The wins reflect the company’s focus on building an inclusive workplace and creating an environment where employees feel supported, recognised, and engaged.
The recognition for diversity and inclusion highlights Haymarket Media Limited’s long-term commitment to equity across gender, age, neurodiversity, and cultural background. Guided by its Haymarket Impact strategy, the company aligned its initiatives with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and took steps towards B Corp Certification to formalise responsible business practices.
Gender equity remained a key focus. Haymarket Media Limited published its global Gender Pay Gap report in 2024, showing that women earned 1.9% more than men on a mean basis and 13.1% more on a median basis. Women made up 76% of the workforce in Asia and 53% globally.
Beyond internal policies, the company engaged closely with the community. In December 2024, it partnered with Mother’s Choice to host a Media & Marketing Charity Lunch, raising HK$1.2m to support vulnerable children and young girls. Its leadership teams in Hong Kong and Singapore also worked with the Zubin Foundation, offering mentorship and career guidance to ethnic minorities seeking employment.
Haymarket Media Limited also received recognition for employee engagement through its People and Work Awards, which expanded to celebrate both individual contributions and team achievements. The company offered 25 days of annual leave and 15 days of work-from-anywhere flexibility.
Additional support for caregivers included flexible working arrangements and up to five days of dependents’ leave, alongside extended maternity and paternity policies with gradual return-to-work programmes. An employee assistance programme provided access to counselling and mental health support, contributing to an 8% increase in engagement scores compared to 2022.
Investment in learning and development remained central, with mentorship programmes, management training, and access to platforms such as LinkedIn Learning. These initiatives led to a 14% increase in employee growth and development participation.
