Amongst DBS Bank HK’s notable initiatives is LiveBetter, a feature designed to promote sustainability and empower customers to make environmentally conscious choices. With just a few taps on their mobile devices, customers gain access to a range of resources and tools that help them reduce their carbon footprint and adopt greener lifestyles.
LiveBetter provides valuable tips and guidance on leading a sustainable life, whilst also encouraging customers to switch to e-statements to reduce paper usage. The feature also offers investment opportunities in companies aligned with customers' values through LiveBetter funds, which incorporate ESG factors as key investment focus.
Meanwhile, DBS Bank HK also launched another groundbreaking initiative by adopting Electronic Identity Document Verification (eIDV) that utilises near field communication (NFC) technology.
This initiative provides Mainland Chinese customers who are physically in Hong Kong with Exit-Entry Permit and China ID to open accounts seamlessly through the DBS digibank HK app.
DBS Bank HK ensures instant and simultaneous identity verification for the required documents with the utilisation of NFC technology. Mainland Chinese customers can now open a wealth management account instantly at our branches, compared to the previous process which would take two to three days.
The bank has also revamped the audit confirmation experience on its corporate banking platform DBS IDEAL. With a user-friendly interface and simplified processes, customers can now fulfil and authorise their annual audit confirmation requests digitally, eliminating the need for physical touchpoints. The enhanced feature offers real-time tracking of requests and approval within 24 hours, and instant notifications of transaction status.
Additionally, the option for email softcopy delivery reduces paper waste and supports the bank's sustainability initiatives. This revamped audit confirmation service improves efficiency, transparency, and overall user experience for DBS Bank's corporate customers.
