Ace Integrator bags win at HKB Technology Excellence Awards for automation initiative

Its strategy for success involved aligning with organisational goals, comprehensive analysis, adopting innovative technologies, and integrating WMS systems.

Tech solutions company Ace Integrator took home the win in the Automation - Engineering category at the prestigious HKB Technology Excellence Awards for its dedication to driving innovation, fostering positive change, and inspiring others to embrace the power of technology.

This is evidenced by its successful initiative that has involved designing and implementing an automation system for the distribution centre of Watsons Hong Kong, which has included the Electronic Data Capture and Goods-to-Man system.

Its strategic approach at Watsons Hong Kong has also involved aligning with organisational goals, comprehensive analysis, adopting innovative technologies, and integrating a Warehouse Management System (WMS). This has driven success over the challenges and contributed to Watsons' goals.

Ace Integrator has introduced an innovative conveyor system that has increased the productivity on warehouse operations by streamlining goods movement and reducing manual handling. With a capacity of over 1,200 transport units per hour, it expedites order fulfilment and achieves significant time savings.

Amongst its most significant innovations involves the design and implementation of a large-scale automated system consisting of 25 Haipick robots. This system has had a tremendous impact on the company’s operations, reducing labour costs and eliminating manual errors. It is the largest robotic deployment in an automatic warehouse in Hong Kong.

The robots have greatly increased efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and optimising resource allocation. Moreover, they have enhanced safety conditions by reducing the risk of workplace accidents. With these robots, Ace Integrator has achieved high accuracy, improved productivity, and enhanced job safety for the workforce.

Meanwhile, the company has also made innovations with the integration of its automation system with a WMS, which has led to enhanced operations by automating data input, minimising manual errors, and improving overall efficiency. The seamless flow of accurate information has also resulted in significant cost savings for the operations.

“We are excited to share our achievements, connect with industry peers and contribute to the celebration of excellence in technology… We believe that our initiative demonstrates the innovative technology to warehouse operations. These achievements make us deserving of the HKB Technology Excellence Awards,” the company said.

The HKB Technology Excellence Awards celebrates innovation and excellence in Hong Kong's dynamic tech landscape, highlighting companies that lead the way in technological disruptions within their industries.
