Global online food delivery company Foodpanda has announced that is has acquired delivery.com Hong Kong’s business and staff.
According to a release from Foodpanda, it entered the Hong Kong market in 2014 and since then has built the leading food delivery service, recording over 500% order growth in 2015. With the goal to consolidate its market leading position, the company has acquired and integrated other local food delivery players, Koziness and Dial a Dinner.
Delivery.com Hong Kong also entered the region in 2014 with an initial focus on the nascent corporate ordering market. delivery.com Hong Kong’s expertise in servicing large corporate clients in the Hong Kong market aligns well with foodpanda’s recently launched corporate account product offering and with this announcement Foodpanda will bring that expertise in-house to support foodpanda’s growing business in Hong Kong.

Recently partnering with restaurant platform OpenRice, foodpanda aims to be the most convenient and fastest way for Hong Kongers to order food online or via the app. Globally, the group is active in 24 markets in Asia, Eastern Europe and Middle East.
