HKMA adds new spatial dataset via Open API

It includes details on five types of self-service banking machines of 20 retail banks.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has announced the addition of a new spatial dataset accessible via Open Application Programming Interface (API), starting 9 December.

This dataset includes details on five types of self-service banking machines of 20 retail banks in Hong Kong, covering cash deposit machines, cheque deposit machines, integrated cash and cheque deposit machines, passbook update machines, and video teller machines.

The HKMA’s Open API portal now hosts three comprehensive datasets covering physical banking facilities of retail banks.

The two previously available datasets, which include information on physical branches and automated teller machines (ATMs), have been updated with additional details. These enhancements include information on barrier-free measures at branches and the types of currencies available for deposit and withdrawal through ATMs.

All datasets are available for download through the HKMA’s Open API portal.
