Grand prix to drag Macau gaming revenues

November run rate is only forecasted within MOP24-25bn range.

According to Nomura, the first 11 days in November delivered MOP9.2bn, which implied a mtd run rate of ~MOP837mn/day.

The last week’s run rate came in at MOP820mn/day.

"Our analysis suggests the mass business remains robust. The upcoming Grand Prix event for this week could drag VIP volume a bit, we think, since VIPs may generally want to avoid the crowd," said Nomura.

Extrapolating for the full month, Nomura said that the daily run rate thus far in November suggests the full month could come in within a range of MOP24-25bn (ie, mid- to high-single digits y-y growth), accounting for a slowdown during the Grand Prix.
