HKSTP, Microsoft HK launches programme for local and global startups

HKSTP will offer up to 100,000 through its Ideation Programme.

The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and Microsoft Hong Kong have launched “TechConnect," a 12-month programme for local and global startups seeking to establish and scale in the Hong Kong market.

The initiative will mainly focus on innovating smart city solutions by supporting startups in facilitating their entry and growth within Hong Kong’s tech ecosystem.

Microsoft Hong Kong will provide over $1.1m in Microsoft Azure credits and grant startups free access to a wide range of Microsoft tools and exclusive offers.

Participants will also benefit from training workshops by industry experts, covering areas such as business strategy, technology development, and market entry.

Meanwhile, HKSTP will offer up to $100,000 through its Ideation Programme during the early development stage of the tech companies. Eligible startups can apply for additional funding via HKSTP’s Incubation Programme.
