Cathay Pacific names Ivan Chu director and COO

Chu's appointment is part the airlines senior management move after CEO Tony Tyler will resign on 31 March.

Ivan Chu will become a director of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (“Cathay Pacific”) and its chief operating officer with effect from 31st March 2011, according to a Cathay Pacific report.

On 3rd December 2010 Cathay Pacific announced the intended resignation of Tony Tyler as Chief Executive and a Director of Cathay Pacific. The company appointed John Slosar to take over Tyler's position effective 31st March 2011.

Chu, presently Director Service Delivery of Cathay Pacific, will become a Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Cathay Pacific with effect from 31st March 2011.
