Wah Kwong and CIMC ENRIC partner for green methanol bunkering

They will partner on renewable fuel projects and explore joint investments.

Hong Kong-based shipping company Wah Kwong Maritime Transport has partnered with CIMC ENRIC Holdings Limited for green methanol bunkering applications, logistics, and bunkering services.

Under the agreement, Wah Kwong and CIMC ENRIC will develop a strategic partnership for clean fuel projects and look into possible investment opportunities.

Wah Kwong will also be an off-taker, responsible for downstream operations, and a logistics partner for part of CIMC ENRIC’s green methanol capacity. Meanwhile, CIMC ENRIC will produce and supply green methanol.

CIMC ENRIC is currently developing the first phase of its 50,000 MTPA renewable green methanol plant in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. It is expected to go online in the second half of 2025.
