CUHK ranks 44th in World University Rankings 2025

The university attributes this feat to its international research partnerships.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has secured the 44th spot in the latest World University Rankings 2025 whilst landing at 36th in the QS World University Rankings 2025.

The university attributed this feat to its international research partnerships, including Johns Hopkins University, University College London, and the Technical University of Munich. They have collaborated with CUHK for the $96m AI-Powered Surgical Robots project, aimed at developing autonomous surgical robots.

Moreover, CUHK has established the Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services to support researchers and students in commercialising their research innovations.

This includes the development of an AI-based tool for detecting depression through retinal imaging which received awards at the recent 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.

The university also offers postgraduate programmes through initiatives such as the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.

Furthermore, CUHK will conduct its Postgraduate Virtual Info Week 2024 from 21 to 31 October to let prospective students explore its academic community.
