Hong Kong's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3% from March to May, aligning with the previous February-to-April period, the Census & Statistics Department announced on 20 June.
The underemployment rate inched up by 0.1 percentage points to 1.2%.
During this period, total employment in the country saw a modest increase of approximately 2,800 individuals, bringing the total to 3,696,900. The labor force also increased by about 5,300 individuals, reaching a total of 3,813,100.
Meanwhile, the number of unemployed individuals saw a slight rise of around 2,500 to 116,200 people, whilst underemployed individuals increased by approximately 4,200 to 44,700 people.
