USCGI, WFPF, CFFPD ink MoU for sustainable agriculture
The partnership aims for innovation in Agriculture.
The US-China Green Institute (USCGI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Iowa-based World Food Prize Foundation (WFPF) and the China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development (CFFPD) to enhance food safety and sustainable agriculture.
The MoU aims to establish a collaborative accelerator for sustainable agriculture initiatives and conduct exchange programs for government officials, students, and industry leaders.
The partnership also aims to revitalise the 2012 US-China Agricultural Summit to strengthen cooperation within the agricultural sector.

A ceremony was held last 5 December 2023 with former U.S. Ambassador to China and Chairman of the World Food Prize Foundation, Terry Branstad, along with Jonathan Krane, CEO of KraneShares, and Secretary General of the CFFPD, Longshe Wang, to commemorate their shared commitment to food safety and sustainable agriculture.
"This agreement is a testament to the enduring partnership and mutual respect between our two nations," Ambassador Branstad said.
"It paves the way for a future where innovation and collaboration in agriculture can flourish, ensuring we can meet the pressing demands of global food security together." Ambassador Branstad added.
