Here's proof that home buyers still flock to Hong Kong's primary market

SKHP sold out all of its 148 units at Century Link I and II.

According to Barclays, despite the macro uncertainty and drawn by the various top up financing schemes on offer, home buyers continue to flock to the primary market.

Over the weekend, SHKP sold all of the 148 units on offer at Century Link I and II in Tung Chung. Century Link II has so far sold 792 units, representing 85% of a total of 932 units generating HK$4.6bn sales proceeds.

Together with 34 inventory units that were sold from various projects like Dragons Range in Kau To and Double Cove Grandview in Ma On Shan, overall primary weekend sales reached 182 units. In addition to these 182 units, last Thursday, Kowloon Development also successfully sold 219 out of 242 units on offer at Upper East in Ma Tau Wai (90% take-up rate).

Looking ahead, Sino Land has started soft-marketing its 27 unit luxury project, Cluny Park, in the Mid-levels while promotion for Cheung Kong Property’s 1,129-unit Yuccie Square is also underway. In addition, Cheung Kong Property will resume sales of Stars by the Harbour before the Mid-Autumn Festival by launching the fifth block. Kerry Properties has also launched 98 extra units at Dragons Range as the project is now immediately available for occupation following its completion.
