How Health Manager enables FTLife customers to keep themselves fit and healthy

There will be free medical consultancy for customers every Wednesday.

Staying healthy requires keeping up to speed with one’s medical condition, that is why FTLife has launched the Health Manager programme.

FTLife’s approach to the concept of health management comprises:

▪ A comprehensive and competitive portfolio of health-protection products.
▪ A customer service centre that handles aspects such as applying for cover, underwriting and payment, as well as providing medical check-ups.
▪ Free medical consultancy for customers every Wednesday*.
▪ Tailoring medical tests to suit individual needs and help ensure healthy lifestyles.

FTLife is the first Hong Kong insurance company to equip a customer service centre with a medical team, and is first to offer all customers free medical consultancy. The move is rock solid testimony to the company’s commitment to service excellence and trustworthiness as a lifelong partner to customers.

FTLife Regional CEO and CEO Lennard Yong said: "FTLife provides excellent health-protection plans, complemented by a medical team at our state-of- the-art customer service centre." He added "The health management concept is popular in developed countries throughout Europe and North America, and demand is now rising in Hong Kong and mainland China, where people are beginning to view health insurance as a necessity. Greater awareness around the need to adopt healthy lifestyles is also being prompted by growing numbers of discerning senior citizens."

FTLife’s Chief Marketing Officer, Angela Yam, said: "We offer a diversity of solutions to meet the wealth needs of customers at different stages of life – but we care about their health too. Advanced medical tests conducted as part of our Health Manager programme enable customers to stay healthy. We will promote the importance of healthy living via a variety of channels such as seminars, workshops, website and other initiatives. We are doing this because the company firmly believes health and wealth go hand-in- hand for the purpose of leading a fulfilling life.&"

Many diseases can be cured if discovered early – or better still, prevented before they have a chance to establish themselves. Health Manager provides screening in the form of the Health & Wellness DNA Test for Urbanites, which reveals a person’s unique genetic makeup and gives doctors a wealth of information on which to act. In addition, the Child DNA Panel paints a picture of a youngster’s inherent abilities, physique and allergies.

This allows formulation of parenting strategies to help a child grow healthily and happily, all in preparation for a fulfilling life. Other check-up options provided by Health Manager include tumour-profile screening designed to detect the top five killer cancers, assessment of cardiovascular risk, carrying out a body-age test and spinal screening, as well as assessment by a Chinese medicine practitioner.

Health rewards

From now until 31 May 2017, customers making a successful application for any FTLife plan – including at least one designated health protection plan – for which total annualised first-year premium reaches a certain level – will receive a health check reward for free. Find out more about our Health Manager Programme, and pick up health tips, by scanning the QR code or click here.

**Effective 1 March 2017, the free medical consultancy service is available every Wednesday and operates on an appointment-based system.
