Metrojet names Tan Siah-Joo as director of its commercial business

That’s in addition to his current role in strategic planning and development.

In a release, Metrojet announced the appointment of Tan Siah-Joo in an expanded role within the company as Director of its Commercial business.

Mr. Tan will extend his responsibilities in overseeing aircraft management and charter sales, business development, client relations and marketing activities, in addition to his existing role in strategic planning and development.

An aircraft engineer by training, Tan first joined the Hong Kong based company in June 2011 as Director of Corporate Development. He has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial aviation industry, notably within the Singapore Airlines Group, in which he held a range of senior management positions within its wholly owned subsidiaries, SilkAir and SIA Engineering Company.
