Business receipts for most industries grew in 4Q2023

The transportation and courier industries saw declines in FY2023.

Business receipt in value terms of most major service industries grew in 4Q2023 YoY, C&SD reported.

In 4Q2023, business receipts indices of the accommodation services and administrative and support services increased 73.6% and 13.3% YoY respectively.
 
In the service domain, business receipts of the tourism, convention and exhibition sector also increased 285.3% YoY, while the computer and information technology sector increased 91.0% YoY.

Meanwhile, the courier industry decreased 12.6% in the same period.

For FY2023, about 50% of major service industries posted YoY increased in business receipts with double-digit growth was recorded in the accommodation services (59.7%), food services (26.1%), banking (21.2%), administrative and support services (16.6%), and retail (16.2%) industries.

On the flipside, double-digit declines were recorded in the transportation (17.3%) and courier (11.9%) industries.
