Digitas Hong Kong appoints Guillaume Merlen as Executive Creative Director
Mr. Merlen started as a Flash developer then promoted as IT Creative Director tasked with leveraging the creativity of the agency from a technological perspective.
Digitas has imported acclaimed Parisian Creative head, Guillaume Merlen, as Executive Creative Director for Hong Kong. In his role as ECD, he will lead Digitas Hong Kong’s creative expansion and evolution. Merlen will oversee the creative process of the agency and be personally involved in delivering creative work that stretches the Digitas global expectations.
Guillaume Merlen joins Digitas Hong Kong having served almost four years in the Publicis Groupe as Creative Director of Publicis Modem Paris. Not your usual ECD, Guillaume has devised a proven, unique approach to the creative process that delivers on business objectives by creatively combining all the expertise: social marketing, technology, user experience and of course art.

His Publicis journey started back in 2002, as a Flash developer for Duke/Razorfish Paris. His talent was quickly identified and he was promoted to IT Creative Director, tasked with leveraging the creativity of the agency from a technological perspective. Previously, he had worked in IBM Learning Services as a Developer and Course Engineer.
Guillaume holds a Master Degree in Management from Paris Sud University and a BS in Computer sciences from Paris V University.
