Hong Kong, China to review adjustment in number of travellers at BCPs
The total daily number of travellers allowed to Mainland is 50,000.
Authorities of Hong Kong and Mainland China will closely monitor resumption of travel in between borders to review whether they can amend the required number of people who can travel in these borders as well as the number of border control points (BCPs).
As of this date, the required daily number of people who can travel to China via these BCPs is 50,000.
Chief Executive John Lee said the resumption of travel will boost tourism, retail, and catering sectors in the markets.
The government is also eyeing to do a promotion exercise in February to attract tourists and businesses to Hong Kong.
