Government appoints James To, Wong Kwok-kin, Dennis Kwok as URA directors

They are non-official and non-executive.

According to a government release, the Chief Executive has reappointed James To and Wong Kwok-kin, and appointed Dennis Kwok, as non-official non-executive directors of the Urban Renewal Authority Board, the Development Bureau says.

The current terms of appointment for Mr To and Mr Wong, which tie in with their previous terms as members of the Legislative Council, will expire on November 30. The new terms of appointment of the three legislators are from December 1 to November 30, 2014.

Secretary for Development Paul Chan said the appointment will enhance the representativeness of the board and maintain a close link between the authority and the legislature.

Mr Chan thanked outgoing member Tanya Chan for her contribution to the authority's work in the past four years.

The board comprises 18 non-official non-executive directors, four official non-executive directors and three executive directors. All non-official non-executive directors are appointed to the board in their personal capacity.
