Buildings Department approves 11 new building plans in October

Two plans were approved on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon, and six in the New Territories.

The Buildings Department has approved 11 building plans in October, spanning across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories.

Specifically, two plans were approved on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon, and six in the New Territories.

The approved plans include three for apartment/apartment-commercial developments, three for commercial buildings, two for factory/industrial developments, and three for community service developments.

These projects will provide 10,280 sq m of gross floor area for 160 residential units and 82,316 sq m for non-domestic use.

The department also gave consent for 11 projects to begin construction and received notifications of superstructure work commencement for five projects.

In addition, 14 occupation permits were issued, covering 207,034 sq m of residential space, comprising 3,715 units, and 37,190 sq m for non-domestic use.

The department received 2,603 reports of unauthorized building works and issued 809 removal orders.
