Bank of East Asia warns of fraudulent website

The incident has been reported to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) has warned aganist a fraudulent website impersonating the bank, a statement read.

The incident has been reported to the Hong Kong Police and Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Anyone who has provided personal information or has conducted any financial transactions through the website are urged to report to the police and contact BEA’s customer service hotline on (852) 2211 1333 for assistance.

Clients are also urged to refrain from visiting and downloading any suspicious files from the website.
