Alliance reveals completion of NEFIN's solar power project

The two solar PV systems will generate 76,170 kWh electricity annually.

Hong Kong concrete and aggregates total solutions provider Alliance Construction Materials has announced the completion of NEFIN’s solar power projects in two of the firm’s batching plants in Tsing Yi and Yuen Long.

Solar developer and investor NEFIN has completed solar photovoltaic (PV) systems that will generate 76,170 kWh electricity annually.

“From December, the electricity output will be able to offset a total of 39 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year, similar to planting extra 647 trees for Hong Kong,” NEFIN and Alliance said in a joint statement.

According to NEFIN’s CEO Glenn Lim, the solar developer has designed a solar PV system that maximises the rooftop space of Alliance’s power plants as well as meets its requirements.

The implementation of the project has taken place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and whilst challenges brought by the unprecedented situation were faced, the solar PV systems were still completed on time.
