16 land transactions registered in Q2

The Lands Department registered a total of 16 land transactions in Q2 for a total land premium of $2.06b.

In a breakdown, these include 11 lease modifications and five land exchanges in the Land Registry, of which six were technical changes involving nil premium. Six transactions were on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.
The Lands Department also issued a total of eight pre-sale consents in Q2 with residential developments involving the creation of 3,861 units.
One development in Sha Tin and Yuen Long comprising a total of 656 units are due for completion next year whilst developments in Shau Kei Wan, Tai Po and Tuen Mun, comprising a total of 3,205 units, are due for completion in 2020.
