Hong Kong inks deal with UK to share infra planning techniques

The MOU was signed by Permanent Secretary for Development Hon Chi-Keung.

The Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Infrastructure and Projects Authority of the United Kingdom signed a Memorandum of Understanding in London last Thursday to share resources and expertise in implementing infrastructure projects.

According to a government press release, the MOU was signed by the Permanent Secretary for Development, Mr Hon Chi-keung, and the Chief Executive of the IPA, Mr Tony Meggs.

“Under the MOU, both of us agree to strengthen the co-operation in uplifting the productivity and performance of the construction industry by adopting innovative construction methods, advanced technology, better procurement approaches and more, as well as improving the project delivery capability of the public sector by enhancing knowledge of project leaders,” said Mr Hon Chi-keung.
