The Hong Kong-based startup eyes 104 destinations in Asia Pacific.
Hong Kong-based startup Greater Bay Airlines has submitted an application to operate to and from Hong Kong to the Air Transport Licensing Authority.
The company eyes a total of 104 destinations. Of these, 48 destinations are located in Mainland China, five in the Philippines, four in Taiwan, and the rest scattered across Asia Pacific.
According to a gazette published by the Hong Kong government, the airline will cater to passengers, cargo, and mail. The airline will be operating three Boeing B737-800 in its initial launch.
The carrier first submitted an application for an air operator's certificate in July 2020.
The Greater Bay Airlines is backed by boss of Shenzhen-based airlines Donghai Airlines, Bill Wong.
