Property sales up 4.9% to 7,902 in June

 

The total value increased 10.7% to $73.9b.

The Land Registry recorded 7,902 sale and purchase agreements for all building units in June, up 4.9% on May and up 31% compared to a year ago.

The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in June was $73.9 billion, up 10.7% on May and up 86.2% year-on-year.

Among the sale and purchase agreements, 6,100 were for residential units, a 6.4% increase on the previous month and 32% more year-on-year.

The total consideration for residential units was $59.1 billion, up 10.4% compared with May and up 81.4% compared with last June.

The public made 466,201 land register searches during the month.
