1 out of 2 HK employees to work harder in flexi jobs

Would you be more productive if you work at your own convenience?

According to a research from Regus, provider of flexible workspaces, over a third of Hong Kong workers (35%) are now free from the shackles of their desks. These professionals are free to work from locations other than their company's main offices for half a week or more, helping them reduce the time spent commuting and giving them the freedom to choose work locations closer to home.

Importantly, the research reveals that if more local businesses were to adopt flexible working practices for their staff, they would see improvements not only to employee health and morale, but also overall productivity – 56% of employees say they would work harder, benefiting the company, if they could reduce their commute. This is in line with earlier Regus research that revealed that 72% of companies globally had experienced increased productivity directly as a result of flexible working practices.

The research canvassed over 16,000 professionals in more than 80 countries.
