SAP names Paul Sakrzewski as Managing Director, Hong Kong

The company takes into account Sakrewski’s 15 years of senior leadership experience in multinational organizations across Asia.

SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) on Friday announced the appointment of Paul Sakrzewski as Managing Director, SAP Hong Kong. Reporting directly to Steve Watts, President, SAP Asia Pacific Japan, Sakrzewski will assume responsibility for all market-facing activities for SAP Hong Kong. He replaces Mike Hawes, the current Managing Director of SAP Hong Kong, who will be leaving SAP in pursuit of personal opportunities.

“Under almost two years of Mike’s tenure, SAP Hong Kong has generated commendable business results and made great progress in strengthening the SAP brand. I thank Mike for his good work and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Mike has created a strong business platform for us in Hong Kong, and I am confident that Paul, with the capable team in Hong Kong, will build on the excellent foundation and take SAP Hong Kong to greater heights in the future,” said Steve Watts, President, SAP Asia Pacific Japan.

Sakrzewski is no stranger to SAP, and comes with more than 15 years of senior leadership experience in multinational organizations across Asia. In his most recent role, Sakrzewski was SAP APJ’s Head of Business Operations, responsible for sales operations across the region. Prior to that, he led SAP APJ’s Human Resources function across the region.

Before joining SAP in 2008, Sakrzewski served in various leadership roles at BOC Group, a multinational industrial gas company. He also held senior executive roles at publicly-listed global food manufacturer Goodman Fielder, across Australia, North Asia and Japan.

Sakrzewski is an alumnus of Queensland University, Australia and Jochi University, Japan, and has completed post-graduate executive study at Michigan University in the United States.
