Il Milione pops the champagne on classy cocktail bar

Il Milione Bar & Ristorante’s Umbrian restaurant may not yet be open to diners, but its classy cocktail bar is already hard at work concocting delectable drinks for its clientele of business elite and cocktail connoisseurs.

Like its name, Il Milione is a pioneering export from Italy, featuring daily aperitivo just the way Marco Polo would have had it along theports of Venice. Guests at the bar will revel in the old fashioned drinks served up by “Bar Maestro” Giancarlo Mancino and his team, who are determined to bring cocktail sophistication back to Hong Kong’s bar scene.

The bar is Hong Kong’s introductory taste of Il Milione Bar & Ristorante Italiano, a first in Asia for Michelin-starred Umbrian chef, Marco Gubbiotti, who hopes to bring the best flavours from his homeland served with sophistication at the heart of the city.

With the coming opening of the restaurant end of March, discerning diners can look forward to enjoying the ultimate gastronomic experience from Italian cuisine paired with charismatic wines and knowledgeable service, in an intimate environment that is at once warm and contemporary.
