Honi Honi rolls out Hong Kong's Rum Festival

Honi Honi, Hong Kong’s own tropical paradise in the heart of Central, will be hosting The Hong Kong Rum Festival for the first time in town. This Rum Festival offers rum aficionados and novices alike to celebrate, promote and discover the variety of rums available in Asia.

All are welcome to visit Honi Honi to taste, evaluate and savour the evocative spirit on Sunday, 5 May, 2013 and Monday, 6 May, 2013.

Ten top rum makers will come together to provide attendees with samples both straight from the bottle and in exclusive reduced price cocktails crafted especially for the event by Honi Honi owner and drinks connoisseur, Max Traverse and general manager, Fabien Marcault.

The rum festival will present special guest, Worldwide Rum Ambassador, Ian Burrell, from the United Kingdom who will be making Asia the 7th continent to have visited this year… for rum. He will introduce attendees to the World of Rum and its magical effects through presentations and tasting workshops throughout the festival.

Directors, managers, suppliers, bartenders, mixologists, media and rum lovers are all welcome to attend this festival at no extra cost. Look forward to learning about the history of rum and understanding rum categories and their different styles.

Honi Honi presents The Hong Kong Rum Festival from Sunday, 5 May, 2013 – 3pm till late (presentations held between 3pm and 7pm) and Monday, 6 May, 2013 – 1pm till late (presentations held between 1pm and 7pm).
