Exchange Fund foreign assets jumped to $3.24t in April

Foreign liabilities amounted to $400m.

The Exchange Fund’s foreign assets increased by $37.1 billion to $3.2351 trillion in April, the Monetary Authority announced.

The Monetary Base amounted to $1.6606 trillion while claims on the private sector in Hong Kong amounted to $301.5 billion.

Foreign liabilities, representing fees payable to the Exchange Fund's external managers, amounted to $400 million.
